Weekly Update 03 - Level Up!
Well a bit late on this one but alas tis what it is. This one might not even have that much meat.
Leveling Up
The system that has been placed is so that you will have the chance to level up one of your 5 base stats up to 4 times. It'll be right after the rent screen. There are 16 weeks in the game so about 8 chances to effectively max out 2 stats in total. And the rest I think can be earned from random events and outside events to basically level up some stats. i.e. playing the arcade a lot lvls up your speed by 1.
STATS
Ideally I'd want each stat to be useful, but honestly I'm having a hard time figuring out what each should do with each stat and balancing it. But the idea right now is that STR let's you build your combo faster, END makes so you don't die as fast, SPD makes the cooking process faster and maybe gives you more time at work, and CHR makes you more money and lets you unlock a 'special service' scene at a higher combo limit(i.e your combo goes up to 9 instead of 6). Thinking on it now, maybe I'll unlock the scenes and combo max per season.
SUMMARY
-Level up after each rent period
-8 opportunities to level up from here, rest can be gained from random events
-STR ^ - Faster combo rate
-END^ - Don't lose energy as fast
-SPD^ - Cooks food faster
-CHR^ - More money/unlock combo limit+ scene
-Maybe better to unlock combo limit and scene per season instead tho lol

As a side note, I love what you are planning with the system already in place.
With regards to what the 4 visible stats could do, I believe it would make more sense (feel free to use this or modify this as a base) with the stats doing the following:
STR^ - Stronger combo | could be a stronger combo multiplier (this stat could stack, based on rank, with the faster food timers and more money based on combo
END^ - Don't lose energy as fast and gain additional max energy per rank
SPD^ - Cooks food faster and faster combo rate
CHR^ - More money from working and a 3%/5%/10%/20% rent decrease
And since you have indicated 5 base stats, "chance to level up one of your 5 base stats up to 4 times", we could include a luck or LCK^ that could be special scenes and chances for critical successes on timers, money (in tips or something similar), and maybe better chances for finding things when exploring.

Arador has good ideas to add to the benefits of the stats, making the player think more carefully to which attribute they wish to 'level up' more instead of focusing on just one or two that are more powerful than another.
You can also do secret combo to leveling, for example a type of basic arithmetic where SPD + CHR attribute can 'delay' the timer before a shift ends. (I always felt like the current shift in the demo was way too short.)
And STR + END could affect your ability to handle nightly hour stuff, so that they don't affect your body in the daylight shifts. (I imagine the protagonist having a 'rough night' could affect their daylight ability.)
STR + CHR could affect the ability to 'shoo' away unwanted customers.
SPD + END affect the rare Luck stat to 'instantly' finish one of the prep-work tasks, such as instantly finishing cleaning the lettuce or cutting the tomatoes.
I enjoyed reading those additions and I agree that currently the stats seem unbalanced with stats being better than others. I analyzed what each stat would be doing fundamentally and keeping that, but enhancing it. That was the idea baseline for my stat versions. But I do love the idea of having hidden stats that combo off of each other. That would give more of a plausible differential than what I proposed, but would take longer to implement than mine.
